Business IT Analysis

The primary designer of our Loftus HMS product, and learder of that development team, as a Business IT Analyst, assists clients to link their business needs and processes with their information technologies.

For example, he identified how to reduce kitchen costs and waste for an Aged Care group using a Menu Ordering System. In another engagement for a civil engineering company, he devised a system to manage heavy plant allocations that returned the cost of its implementation within a few months.

Design

Our team has a number of skilled application designers able to assess a a plan for an application and specify a cost-effective solution that best meets the need within budget and using up-to-date, relevant and high quality technologies.

As an example, another member of our Application Team, starting with a client's need for an application, designed and developed our Loftus CDES product, for the management of criminal history checks. His design included a Java application communicating through web services running in an Internet data centre.

Development

The developers in our Applications Team are trained in Java/JBoss, Microsoft .NET, C, C# and C++. However, their programming experience extends well beyond these.

For example, we have expertise in Visual Basic, COBOL, Pick/BASIC, Pascal and even Lisp, Fortran and various assembler languages.

We also help clients develop components for their Microsoft SharePoint platforms.

Implementation

From our experience in developing enterprise applications such as our Loftus HMS product, and Loftus CDES, we know that implementing an application is much more than installing the code and demonstrating that it works.

Our Applications Team can assist an implementation by collecting, transforming and loading the initial data, preparing new procedures associated with the new application, training users in the application, and preparing or updating product documentation.

Project Management

Our Applications Team includes trained Project Managers, and our projects, whether large or small, utilise our expertise in Project Management methodologies to ensure they are completed on time and within budget, and achieve the expected outcomes and business benefits.

Support and Maintenance

Most members of our Applications Team provide Support and Maintenance services for client applications, continuing Support to assist users and rectify faults, and Maintenance when needed to maintain the application by making adjustments to meet changing business needs and to meet possible changes and updates in the underlying operating system software.
