Customer Bulletin 1 - Microsoft Applications affected by changes to Daylight Savings



  • -Daylight Savings is due to end on the first Sunday in April, 2008
    (was last Sunday in March).

  • -Daylight Savings will start again on the first Sunday in October, 2008
    (was last Sunday in October)


These changes have been introduced to have Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney change on the same date in 2008 and beyond and will have obvious benefits to business. As with most benefits there is a potential downside.


Microsoft has identified that these changes will affect all Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Outlook and other Microsoft, third party and custom applications. They have released an extensive overview of the problem and how to remedy your particular environment which can be found at technet.microsoft.com.
