The use of ICT has a considerable impact on the environment in a number of ways:
Land fill and waste management - hardware lifecycle and recycling to Energy Consumption and CO2 emissions. Datacentres, server rooms and office networks (desktops) use considerable power to operate and generate considerable heat.
