CDES - Product Overview
Business Process Management for CrimTrac Accredited Agencies
The Loftus IT Clearance Data Exchange System (CDES) and the associated Message Queue Transfer Service have been developed to streamline the business process for CrimTrac Accredited Agencies when they carry out screening for individuals, and to simplify the interface with CrimTrac.
Details of the available interfaces that CrimTrac provide to accredited agencies are available from CrimTrac. Briefly, they include:
CrimTrac NSS Portal

Agencies can process individual checks through the web, using the CrimTrac NSS website

CrimTrac Batch Upload
|
Uploading multiple checks already prepared in a “batch”, using the CrimTrac NSS Portal)

Message Queue Exchange
|
Transmit individual checks system-to-system via the CrimTrac MQ interface.

Agencies with more complex applicant screening processes and a greater volume of checks benefit from using the Message Queue Exchange service. These Agencies would generally use a software application and database (to manage their operational process) as well as a message transfer service that automates the transfer of data between the application and CrimTrac's MQ server.
